MARY WARD LORETO is planting hope with a human rights approach to combating modern day slavery. This challenging mission is implemented through works of justice, education, grass roots action and systemic change.
The aim is to eradicate poverty, the prime cause for human trafficking.

Youth Leadership Programme in Rreshen.

15 youth from Rreshen shown their willingness and eagerness to join our Leadership Programme. They are young, bright and full of energy, some of the best youth in Rreshen. They have shown a desire and commitment to investing in themselves and to become role models in their communities. These first 4 meetings have been very dynamic and emotional. The group does their best to benefit from this programme and to find themselves while struggling to live their dreams in a small city, with the pressure of being a global citizen.  This module is an opportunity for this group to pursue self-discovery through their challenging teenage years. This programme will continue for a couple of months in accordance with the youth’s activities due to the summer season.

Girls Leadership Programme, 27th of May, 2019.

On May 27th , MWL, in collaboration with the local health care unit and a Peace Corps Volunteer, organized a training for young girls on “Personal Hygiene.”

According to the MWL Girls Leadership Programme in Tropoja, this training brought together 30 young girls, talking about personal hygiene’s role in their health. They learned about hand washing, internal personal hygiene and hygiene of the mouth and teeth. Many thanks to “Matosh Uka” school and our partners for this great collaboration.
