Logistics Manager Pjeter Tanushaj followed a training on how to use smart phones for photos and video creation.

In the two-day workshop “Creating Videos and Photos” with my phone, I learned how to produce appealing photos using composition and natural lighting. I borrowed techniques from professional filmmakers and used them to shoot interviews and to tell stories with videos. I applied what I learned in the workshop by retouching photos with Snapseed and editing videos with Adobe Premiere Rush.

We learned:

  • How to produce appealing photos with available light and retouching them with Snapseed.
  • How to edit videos on your phone and laptop with Adobe Premiere Rush.
  • How to shoot interviews and produce a full mini documentary in one day.

The trainer was Francis Rafal, a film entrepreneur based in Vienna, Austria, currently running three companies in the motion picture industry. The Content Creation School teaches people and organizations how to create digital content like photos and videos to tell their stories. Rafal Studios, a film specialist agency, manages highly specialized film staff like action cameramen and directors. Ninjawerk engineers top-notch but easy-to-use film equipment for professionals and was a main contributor to the training.

Besides his professional career, Rafal is currently the curator of the Global Shapers Vienna Hub, working on reducing polarization in society with OtherOpinion.org, a platform to connect people with different opinions.
