MARY WARD LORETO is planting hope with a human rights approach to combating modern day slavery. This challenging mission is implemented through works of justice, education, grass roots action and systemic change.
The aim is to eradicate poverty, the prime cause for human trafficking.
Last week, November 3-8 2019, the RENATE Working Board held their Annual General Meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania. This gathering included presentations from RENATE members working in various industries and in anti-trafficking work across Europe that all play a role in ending human trafficking.
The RENATE network spans 31 member states in Europe, making it a vital backbone network to ending trafficking.

In light of the closing of breast cancer awareness month, MWL ASC Tropoja and the Psycho-Social Sector at Qendra Spitalore Universitare “Nene Tereza” (QSUT) Tirana organized a training.
The session on “Communication of Diagnosis to Patients Affected by Cancer” was held by the staff of Tropoja Hospital Service, in cooperation with the Directorate of this institution. This meeting was also attended by the Local Health Care Unit.
Participants shared experiences and a cancer treatment success story was shared by the QSUT Oncology Psychologist himself.
These kinds of stories are inspiring for women to fight for their lives!
At the end of the session, the staff visited the MWL ASC Tropoja Center, where they were briefed on the work we are doing to combat modern slavery and expressed a desire for further cooperation.
