A day at the home of the elderly, Sisters of Mother Tereza, Tiranë.

Youngster of the leadership program undertook an initiative as a social action: visiting and volunteer work at Mother Teresa Sisters’ elderly home in Tirana. In the meeting with the elderly, the youngsters were very sensitive to the history of each of the people, and none was the same as the other.

In the short while during their stay, the youth organized an hour of entertainment to give a different day and a smile. They sang and danced with them and really enjoyed these few hours. In the end, each of the young people had prepared a handmade card for all with a personal dedication.

The elderly were very pleased with the visit of the young people, and their eyes filled with tears because some young people had remembered them and had spent the day with them. On the other hand, youngsters experienced complex emotions, at first they were sad to see and feel such abandonment and aging but in the end they were very proud to have been able to offer a happy afternoon in the house. This had been and their purpose.
